Forst & Associates

An engineering firm with a long-standing legacy in Louisville (and beyond) gets a brand identity that matches its reputation – and announces its status as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise, becoming a model for women in STEM.

Brand Marketing

The SEO gains from the new website and blog content led to a spike in inquiries and prompted many new business leads. New clients secured from the updated online presence generated more than $90,000 in revenue in 2025. PR efforts led to Forst & Associates being included as a “Listmaker” in Louisville Business First’s 2025 List of Top Engineers.

IMPACT

Before going public with the WBE news, we created a fresh new brand identity that reflected the firm’s reputation and unique value proposition. We also overhauled the firm’s website, creating a more intuitive navigation, a robust and impressive portfolio of work from its 40+ year tenure, and a new blog, “Design Notes,” that led to SEO gains. We rounded out the project with a public relations campaign announcing the firm was entering its “Woman-Owned Era” with Susan Forst Mersch taking the helm.

APPROACH

With leadership of Forst & Associates shifting from father to daughter, it was time to announce the firm’s designation as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE). However, the firm’s digital footprint didn’t reflect the expertise and reputation it had built over the decades.

Challenge

The Work

Susan Forst Mersch, Owner & Operator, Forst & Associates

“Jenn took the time to learn our firm’s history and the stories, experiences and projects that make us unique in the industry. That translated into a brand – a mission, vision, values and logo – that looked and sounded like us and reflected our expertise and reputation. Not to mention, the new website, blog content, and public relations outreach led to a meaningful spike in new business leads.”

CLIENT

With a robust and impressive portfolio of work over its 40+ year tenure, this project was an exercise in creating a look/feel and messaging that matches the expertise and reputation this firm has built over the decades.

Re-brand

Website Revamp

To match the slick new branding, we overhauled the company’s outdated website. We intuitively organized information and compiled work samples by industry to simplify the user experience.

Finally, we used the re-brand as a milestone to announce the shift in leadership from father to daughter, and announce the firm’s designation as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise.
